Map over the Viking Centre

The Rosala village is situated 25 kilometers to the west from Hanko, in the middle of the world's most beautiful archipelago. The neighbouring islands Rosala and Hitis, that are attached by the Kyrksund bridge, are part of the Turku archipelago and located 18 kilometers to the north from the most southern inhabited place in Finland, the Bengtskär lighthouse.

You can drive your own car all the way to the Viking Centre. The free-of-charge car ferry M/S Aura transports passengers between Kasnäs, which is a harbour You can reach by driving through the Kimito island, and Långnäs, situated between Hitis and Rosala.

Before Kasnäs there is also another car ferry, situated at Lövö, 8 km before Kasnäs. See left margin for print-out map and time-table.

The distance to Kasnäs harbour is about 200 km from Helsinki and 100 km from Turku, so proper driving time to be reserved is 3 hours from Helsinki and two from Turku, since there is also another ferry on the way. M/S Aura's timetable can be found here ( pdf-file ).kasnas.jpg (11703 bytes)

There are also interesting things to see in Kasnäs, for example the Visitor Centre Blåmusslan.
